Meet Our Expert Team

Dr. Ethan J. Yoza was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii. After serving five years in the United States Air Force, Dr. Yoza decided to build his dental office and make Arizona his new home. Dr. Yoza is honored to be able to provide high quality, gentle, and compassionate dentistry to his patients. He treats every patient like they are a part of his family.

Blanca has worked in the dental field since 2002 as a front office associate and treatment coordinator. Blanca began working with Dr. Yoza in 2009 and enjoys the great family atmosphere as well as the team’s high standards in patient care. She believes patient trust is very important. She likes to celebrate when a patient takes the last step in finishing treatment and getting them back to a healthy state. Out of the office, Blanca enjoys spending time with her three children and hiking.

Candi is originally from Texas and has worked in the dental field for 30 years. She is a well rounded team member with experience as a dental assistant, treatment coordinator and manager. She loves getting to know her patients and sharing how oral health impacts our overall health. Outside the office, she enjoys family time, camping and traveling.

Having been a team member since 2009, Angie is excited to return to the Union Hills Family Dentistry team as a Dental Hygienist! She graduated from Rio Salado Community College Dental Hygiene Program in 2021. Outside of work, she enjoys all art and crafts including making greeting cards, sewing, painting and reading. Angela loves to travel and experience new cultures and food!

Originally from Alaska, Kirsten moved to Arizona in July 2010. She graduated from dental hygiene school in Mesa, Arizona and has over 6 years of dental experience. In her spare time, Kirsten likes to check out new restaurants, play frolf, go geocaching, and traveling.

I am a second generation Arizonian. Lived here when Phoenix was a small farming community. I attended Central High School and had a fun time cruising central phoenix. After high school I attended Phoenix College and the dental hygiene school. I graduated in the first class and we had to promote ourselves to dentists as they were not aware of dental hygiene as a profession. My first job was in general dentistry although my interests were in Periodontics. I eventually ended up in Periodontics for 28 years and was certified in expanded functions. I later switched my direction to general dentistry and Prosthodontics which was a new learning experience. As the doc I was working for passed away from ALS, I became a new member of Dr. Yoza’s Staff. Always the best for last! I am semi-retired now and still enjoy my old friends and patients who I adore. Although athletics were fun for years, I now enjoy my cabin and fishing in Alaska with my partner in crime Dan. My 2 kids are grown and have 1 granddaughter and a cat.

Heather grew up in Montana where she began her career in Health Care. She started as a Para Optometric Assistant, and eventually earned her Optician Certificate from the ABO. She met the love of her life in 2006, and they moved to Alaska in 2008. She landed the role as a receptionist in a Dental Office, and before long found herself the Business Manager. She loves the Health Care Field, and enjoys the interaction she shares with patients everyday. She and her husband moved to AZ in 2023. Outside the office she enjoys spending time with her Labrador Molly and cat Luna. You might also find her at a Bingo Hall, Kayaking or out exploring AZ with her husband in their Polaris General.

Jamie was born in California, grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada. After moving to Arizona she passionately began working in the dental field in 2005. Over the years her experience has vastly grown with working in Pediatrics, Oral Surgery, Periodontal and General Dentistry. “It is like art to me and I love helping transform the life of someone else.” Here at UHFD you will see what true team work looks like. We take pride in making our patients feel comfortable and respected. Outside the office she is involved with church activities and functions. Jamie and her husband David are also a part of Heavens Healing Hands, a non profit organization that is Restoring Dignity to Veterans, Transforming Homelessness, Bridging Services, and Creating Hope. Having a big, generous servants heart, Jamie loves to love on people. “I am just a vessel spreading love like Jesus!” She loves spending time with her family, friends and especially her grandson making them laugh and smile warms her heart. She loves Crocs, Groot, Olaf and Giraffes. Jamie enjoys anything outdoors which include her annual camping trips with family, being on the water with her kayak or paddleboard, getting in a good 4am workout, hiking, traveling and going on cruises.

Katrina has been a dental assistant for eight years now, and she absolutely loves what she does. She was born and raised right here in Arizona, and when she’s not working, she’s usually out enjoying the desert, checking out the national parks, watching scary movies, cruising around, and listening to good music. She also loves playing poker with her family on the weekends.
